Nutritional Yeast (200g)

Commonly referred to as “nooch” and becoming know as the holy grail of veganism. Nutritional yeast is exceptionally high in protein.  Contains all 9 essential amino acids. A tablespoon has only 20 calories and has a naturally savoury quality to it with zero sodium. Nooch is an inactive form of the yeast saccharomyces cerevisiae which is the same strain of yeast used in baking and brewing but inactivated with heat so it’s no longer alive.

We love it sprinkled on salads, dusted over slap chips, tossed through freshly popped popcorn and blitzed through salad dressings. Folding a couple of teaspoons through hot pasta gives it a deliciously deep and umami cheesy flavour.
